This artifact (the "Checkpoint"), including the weights file `final_best.pt`,
the architecture analysis manifests, and the audit reports, is released as a
QUARANTINED RESEARCH ARTIFACT. It failed its own internal audit on 2026-05-13
(see AUDIT_REPORT.md, three CRITICAL defects).

You are GRANTED, royalty-free and worldwide:

  1. The right to download, inspect, and study the Checkpoint and all
     accompanying files.
  2. The right to reproduce the audit findings against the actual weights.
  3. The right to use the Checkpoint as a research baseline for academic
     publications or technical reports, provided the audit findings are
     cited or otherwise made visible to the reader.
  4. The right to derive a CORRECTED model, provided that derivative
     publications explicitly acknowledge the original v1 audit defects
     and demonstrate the fix.

You are EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED from:

  A. Using the Checkpoint, in whole or in part, for any LIVE FINANCIAL
     DECISION or trading signal in a real-money setting.
  B. Redistributing the Checkpoint as a "validated", "production-ready",
     or otherwise endorsed news-impact model.
  C. Stripping, omitting, or obscuring the AUDIT_REPORT.md content when
     redistributing or republishing the Checkpoint.
  D. Marketing fine-tunes of the Checkpoint without first fixing the
     CRITICAL-1 (cross-attention collapse) defect documented in the audit.

THE CHECKPOINT IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE
AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN
ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN
CONNECTION WITH THE CHECKPOINT OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE
CHECKPOINT.
