Offline & HEIC support ▼

This file is fully self-contained — no internet needed, nothing is uploaded. All the common formats (JPEG / JFIF, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP) are decoded and converted entirely by your browser.

HEIC is the one format browsers can't decode on their own. This tool tries, in order & all offline: your browser's native decoder → the OS codec via WebCodecs → a local heic2any.min.js. It works with no setup on:

  • Safari (Mac/iPhone/iPad) — decodes HEIC natively, works instantly.
  • Chrome / Edge on Windows — install the free HEVC Video Extensions from the Microsoft Store once, then HEIC decodes offline via the OS.
  • Chrome / Edge on macOS — uses the system codec, usually works out of the box.

Guaranteed-offline HEIC on any browser: download heic2any.min.js once (from github.com/alexcorvi/heic2any, the /dist folder) and save it in the same folder as this HTML file. The app auto-detects it and then decodes HEIC locally forever, with zero network.

AVIF output depends on your browser (Chrome/Edge support it; Safari/Firefox may not). A few spec items (original file dates, Live Photo extraction, subfolder mirroring) need a desktop app.
