# PALATE adapter use policy

The PALATE per-user LoRA adapters are research artifacts for evaluating
role-playing agents. In addition to their CC BY-NC 4.0 license, users must:

- use the adapters only for research, evaluation, auditing, or reproducibility;
- not claim that generated text was written by a PALATE participant;
- not use an adapter to identify, contact, profile, or make decisions about a
  participant or any third party;
- not deploy an adapter in a user-facing product or impersonation service;
- not attempt to recover private attributes or memorized training passages;
- follow the license and acceptable-use requirements of the base model.

The adapters are provided without warranty. Access may be withdrawn when
required by a participant, law, or research-ethics obligation.
