Once a king, now a gladiator
Its pathetic to watch Meta competing with Qwen 27 B. Meta was the first company that started the open weight revolution. 3 years down the line, open weight almost overtook proprietary. Now the flag holder is back but unfortunate it looks like NOKIA .
If Meta really wants to keep its throne, they should release Muse spark as "Open weight + Open data" otherwise DS+Kimi+GLM have already took over Meta's role.
Are you just here to blast the model? It works great for me so I'm not really sure what you're complaining about

Muse Spark delivers a great benchmark score on various leaderboards and what meta is releasing as open-weight is this some mediocre 30B Frankenstein version (parts salvaged out of small, big, little, fat all sort of open weight models). This is not an expectation from Meta. Though I am not against releasing smaller variants (in fact I use them often) but they should have released something better too. A month back there was a cry out there that Meta and Mistral started great and they should have given fight to KIMI 3. Hearing this Meta came back to give its open-weight punch with this!! Better they remained behind the proprietary gate instead of making a mock of them.
Again, why are you complaining that they are putting in effort to train new models? Qwen is great, but so far, Muse is working great for me in my applications considering the size of the model. I seriously don't understand people blasting efforts like these to advance the community, especially for FREE.
Free != Crap
But now I see Zuck's post, they will be releasing Spark soon, so no more complaints.
